Code Generation

You can kick off a code generation workflow from a GitHub issue, Slack message, or a comment on a pull request. To do so, simply tag @ellipsis in the message and ask it to make a code change. Ellipsis will spawn a Docker container and get to work, eventually delivering a pull request or commit back to you.

IDE- and chat-based tools don’t test the code they write. They tend to make mistakes like using libraries that aren’t in your codebase, or importing classes that don’t exist. Ellipsis on the other hand, spawns a Docker container, compiles your code, runs the tests, and whatever else it needs to ensure it delivers working, tested code.
